Mr.Sajid Hussain Tarar President SCC&I met with Mr.Naveed Qamar Federal Minister for Commerce at Islamabad along with Mr.Javed Iqbal, Muhammad Azam Tatri and Director UOS to attend 82th meeting of Board of Administrators of Exports Development Funds (EDF).
The proposal for Establishment of Center of Excellence for Citrus at University of Sargodha jointly submitted by ORIC-UOS and Sargodha Chamber of Commerce and Industry has been approved by Export Development Board under Ministry of Commerce worth around Rs. 200 Million.
This center will be established at University of Sargodha with the aim to improve quality and production of Citrus fruit, its export and value-addition.
Moreover, it will provide necessary trainings, support and certifications to the Citrus growers, processors and exporters.
