President SCC&I, Khawaja Yasir Qayum, SVP Mian Muhammad Imran and Mr. Sheikh Mubasher Shoaib (Executive Member SCC&I), Chairman Standing Committee on Traffic warmly welcomed DSP Traffic Mr. Yousaf Cheema. He highlighted the urgent need for collaboration from relevant departments, especially the TMA, to address the city's traffic issues. He pointed out that increasing encroachments and street vendors are exacerbating traffic problems, while the city's infrastructure remains outdated despite population growth. He emphasized the responsibility of the city government to operationalize traffic signals and the need for clear speed limit signage on highways. He urged traders to obtain licenses, noting that education, rather than fines, is crucial for resolving these issues. He also mentioned efforts to raise awareness about traffic laws in educational institutions and called for support from the University of Sargodha to encourage students to obtain licenses. The meeting concluded with a commitment to work together for solutions, and a shield was presented to the distinguished guest.
